readinglovewritinglove turned 1 today!
Probably my favorite tweet of the night so far.
|sasspirilla sent: Happy birthday, I hope you have the wonderful day that you deserve :)|
This started out as a reblog of queen-honeybee’s post, but it ended up getting too lengthy, so I decided to finally type out my feelings regarding the situation. Feel free to hate me, but please keep in mind I’m not trying to bash the band. I don’t think they’re bad people, I just don’t agree with them. If anything, most of the negativity is coming from the fans bashing each other.
Here’s how I see it. Keep in mind that I have never met anyone in the band. This is pure outside observation:
Very well written response. And a very good read of the band members, especially having never met them in person!
Confusing SPG feelings under the cut. If you’re over the business with Jon and already moving on to Hatchworth, ignore it.
This post has a lot of what I’m feeling - and would be saying, if I could relax enough to post calmly. I’m not there yet.
I have believed from the first that Jon did not do anything to deserve being treated this way. And that sharing the ‘exciting news’ a day later added insult to injury. “Here, let me give you a paper cut, then pour some lemon juice on it” is what it was - I don’t say looked like/felt like because it’s what actually happened (metaphorically).
I have wanted to write a post about the situation with Jon since I found out about his being fired from Steam Powered Giraffe. It’s taken me a while to figure out what to say and how to say it. I still don’t think I have it right. But I think I need to start with what SPG has…
Yup. SPG has lost their spark. EFF that - they blew their spark out the window when they asked Jon to leave. Then they burned the bridge and then they blew the whole damn thing up with the way the situation was handled. Then, just in case there was a splinter left under where the bridge used to be, they tossed napalm on the desecrated pile - to hell with any innocent bystanders - LIKE THE FANS…..
And this is why Trekkie has to take our next studio shoot. :)
Check out her gallery- there’s some equally gorgeous pictures of The Spine and The Jon too!
As for cheek vents- this was one of the days I could actually spend a full 2 hours on the makeup due to arriving early- I’m not sure if I’ll keep the grate swirls post zoo- but this is definitely making me lean towards…yes.
And also to clarify any “master plan” I have- Rabbit’s oxidation look will remain as I’ve grown to love how it makes his copper more apparent. But it won’t reach any sort of apex unless I lose my mind September 3rd. :)
